I too, thought it was his leg at first but, it is very well drawn, its just you dont really expect it to be part of him at all lol the delicate texture on the claw part is excellent

I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you mean. His legs are there, but they're tucked underneath him and kind of out of focus. Perhaps I should have made that more clear in the drawing. There is also a tear in his pantsleg.

Ah, that is part of the story. He is changing into a dragon - the arm with the claws has already changed.

Well, as I understand it, it's a pretty emotional / climactic moment in the novel, and she is trying to convince him that he is not (as he believes) a monster.

You'd do better to direct your questions to *enmirii, because I'm afraid I don't know the whole backstory - just enough to draw the picture.
